CESEF has a vision to improve on the three core indicators; Environment, Job Creation and Affordability on existing building materials and practices as well as to introduce new, regionally proven, construction materials and techniques.
Environment
For most building materials and construction techniques, cement is the most common bonding agent. Production of cement is a high-energy consuming process and accordingly expensive. Considering the high cost of cement, the prevailing construction techniques and building material production sectors are not using it in an efficient and economical manner.
Environment has become a global issue, which needs to be addressed at local level. Any environmental improvement matters and has a global impact. In this regard, Nepal has a huge potential to improve on existing and introduce new, regionally proven, construction technologies and materials that will have a positive environmental impact.

Job Creation
Due to lack of employment opportunities, poverty and internal conflict, most people move from rural hilly areas of Nepal and migrate to terai in search of job, food, cloth and shelter. With the intervention of technology change we aim to reform social change by creating job for the needy ones as well as improve the living and working condition of the workers.
Affordability
With the introduction of best practices and techniques in the production and application of the building material we aim to achieve the most affordable solutions and techniques in the building construction sector.
