Balaju Yantra Shala (P) . Ltd. (BYS) was established in 1960 as a joint venture between Nepal Industrial Development Cooperation (NIDC) and the Swiss Association for Technical Cooperation (SATA), now partnering as HELVATAS, Nepal.

BYS is now a private, commercial enterprise providing technical service for both national and international clients. It has well equipped plants with assembly shop, sheet metal processing machinery, powder-coating plant, painting shops, testing facilities and adequate design facilities.
BYS provides services of various natures such as design and repair of cross flow turbine, repair and maintenance of series of mechanical and industrial equipment, manufacture of all kinds of machine, design and construction of steel parts and sheet metal products.

Areas of Cooperation with VSBK Programme / Nepal
BYS has been involved in fabrication of various kinds of metal parts that are used in VSBK. Metal parts such as chimney, trolley, support bars, I bars used in pilot VSBKs were fabricated in BYS. BYS also fabricates and supplies materials such as lead screw, steering nut, bearing housing and guide roller. BYS has been capacitated on fabrication of above parts during a training organized by VSBK Programme at Kathmandu. The products of BYS are of excellent quality.
