Amit Gurung holds a Bachelor Degree in Architecture from Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk Campus. He graduated in 2003 and his final year thesis was “Gurung Culture Centre at Kolha at So: Thar Kaski”. He has a practical work experience of building design and construction trends of Nepal. He is exposed to, both as a free lance architect as well as on contract basis, various types of projects like residential design, hotel design, hospital and office design, interior design, site supervision etc. He is also a professional model maker. Lumbini Master Plan, Patan Durbar Square, Ganesh Temple at Naxal, Krishna Temple at Thimi, Interior of a residence at Pulchowk, etc are few of them.
Mr. Gurung is appointed as a CESEF Architect for this VSBK/CESEF Project Nepal. His duty station is Kathamndu. His major responsibilities are to develop the practical use of the CESEF products and to transfer the CESEF technology to various alliances and partner organization. Research over the possible applications of the products, systematic documentation of the technology and providing the consulting services for technology dissemination are his other work.
